The last few days have been different. British Stephensons invited us to join them on safari and treated us to two nights at nearby Amboseli National Park in Kenya. It was a welcome break from our usual routine and so we took to the bone-shattering road (“Lord, help the Kenya roads authority, please!”), leading to the park

Ol Tukai Lodge, Lodge Among the Palms
Amboseli sits just below Tanzania’s giant Mount Kilimanjaro rising 5,895 metres/19,340’ above sea level. The Maasai word Embusel means ‘salty, dusty plain.’ Yet, within the plain, great marshes fed by Kili’s meltwater attract magnificent herds of elephants, along with hippos, antelope herds and 400 species of birdlife.

These photos speak for themselves … a great, restful break in God’s creation, enjoyed by all

African Crowned Crane are often seen on the plains

Buffalo herds below Kili

Small clusters of wildebeest too

Thomson’s Gazelle and a Hippo – some animals just keep far away!

Horses in Striped Pajamas

Always the Elephants

Goodbye Amboseli!
Special wild times like this, including family are very, very SPECIAL. If you’d like to go on safari (and in the process, support The Joshua Foundation, just let us know and we can organize it for you. Blessings all.
