FINISHING WITH FLAIR

Alan and I love Psalm 65:11 which says God crowns the year with His bounty! Each year we expect to see that final flourish of His love and provision in our lives, and so it is. 2021 is finishing on a high for us with some great activities and a much welcome break coming up over Christmas.

THE HOPE CENTRE:

Woohoo! Our very first event and it was a wedding – just like Jesus launched His ministry with one! Even though there are finishing touches to the Hope Centre building and further developments to the environment to be done, we were ready to host the wedding of one of our teachers last Saturday. The venue looked like a fairy tale and we were delighted with how well our team worked together to pull this off. Great start, Joshua Hope Centre!!

ISHARA:

Saturday was the final day of a 6-day training for pre-school teachers. Once again, great work by our teams – teacher trainers, cooks and cleaners. It’s wonderful to see people coming in and being blessed by good teaching, good food, and a peaceful, pleasant environment. This was a group of 40, so we were working to our maximum capacity.

DR STEPHENSON, I PRESUME:

On Sunday Alan was the guest of honour for the Calvary Reformed Bible Institute in Tanzania where he presided over the conferment of theological diplomas and degrees. The four-hour ceremony saw some eighty students from many different backgrounds being capped, with much rejoicing and festivity. The hunger and need for sound training in knowing God and leading His people continues to grow in Tanzania and East Africa, spurred on by governments which increasingly require all ministers to hold require bona fide credentials. In countries where “following the leader” is next to godliness, the training of kingdom leaders is of paramount importance!

COAST HOLIDAY: On Sunday Alan and I head for the coast of Tanzania for a 10-day break over Christmas. We have a small Airbnb right on the beach where we plan to do a massive nothing to prepare for 2022. Counting down…with expectation…for the beach and for 2022!!!

Blessed Christmas all. We will give you a short break from Joshua blogs and see you in the New Year!!
