Where We Are
Tanzania’s eastern border is the Indian Ocean, the north-south route of Islamic slavers for twelve centuries. Further still to the east, lie India and China, the region’s historic trading partners. Kenya sits 100 km north of Arusha (where you’ll find The Joshua Foundation) and is one of the country’s eight neighboring nations, giving us great access to much of the continent.

Joshua’s En Gedi base is situated at the edge of the semi-arid Maasai steppe south east of Arusha, on 31 acres of riverine land. The city marks the exact center of Cape to Cairo and exerts an influence well beyond its size, as capital of the five-nation East Africa Cooperative. It’s one of the fastest growing cities in the developing world with booming problems and potential – Africa, rolled into one!
